You will learn how to transform a standard cake into a structured, high-fashion accessory, focusing on the iconic "Birkin-style" silhouette. We will cover everything from internal structural support to the fine art of Croc-Embossed Leather textures. What You’ll Learn: 1. Edible Architecture & Sculpting Template Cutting: Using custom templates to carve a stable, tapered handbag shape from your choice of chocolate, vanilla or red velvet cake flavour. Internal Support: Engineering the base to handle the weight of the "flaps" and ensuring the cake remains upright during transport. Ganaching: Mastering the use of firm chocolate ganache to create a solid foundation for your fondant "leather." 2. Mastering Exotic Leather Textures The Croc-Effect: How to use embossing mats and hand-tooling techniques to create realistic crocodile and alligator scales. Creating Depth: Using airbrushing techniques (as seen in the ombre tan/white bags) to give the scales a 3D, weathered look.
